In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Shannon Stocker discusses her new children’s picture book titled, Can U Save The Day?, a story about what happens to words when all the vowels decide to take the day off. Shannon is also the author of several essays and short stories appearing in various Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Tackling yet another genre, Shannon is hard at work on her most challenging book to date--her memoir. Shannon’s own story is one of music, medicine and fighting for her life. Now, her world is happily filled with health, writing, family and a host of pets, some of whom join us for this interview. Tune in to hear Shannon discuss her writing journey, how being a songwriter helps her writing process, and her overriding goal of giving people hope and making a difference in their lives.
