In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Penelope Wright discusses her time travel series titled, The Collapse. With three books released and three more on the way, Penelope is tackling time travel as she’s always wanted to write it. In an attempt to navigate the usual pitfalls and overcome the many challenges of writing time travel stories, Penelope wrote the entire six book series before publishing and releasing the first book, Time Bomb. What would happen if the world suddenly flooded and the only survivors were those living on the top floors of the world’s skyscrapers? According to Penelope, survival is possible, but only with the power of time travel. Tune in to hear Penelope discuss her writing journey, her love of the time travel genre and how she discovered that she has a tendency to start her stories in the wrong place.

In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Karin Beery discusses her latest book, Practically Married, a contemporary fiction story with a healthy dose of clean romance. Karin began writing her first book over a decade ago as a way to cope with her husband’s cancer diagnosis. Happily, her husband is cancer free, and Karin is now a published author. She is a life-long lover of fiction, a freelance book editor and an acquisitions editor for a small publishing house. Along with writing her own stories, Karin works hard to help other authors develop the tools they need to write their best work. In this episode, I’ll chat with Karin about her writing journey, her use of rural Michigan as a setting for her stories and how her love of the editing process influences her own writing.

In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Pegg Thomas discusses her award-winning historical romances. Pegg has had her novellas published in five different Barbour historical romance collections, including The Great Lakes Lighthouse Brides collection, which features her story, “Anna’s Tower.” Pegg is a life-long history geek, so it's no wonder that she has found herself writing historical romances. Pegg is also the lead managing editor of Smitten Historical Romance, an imprint of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, and she works hard to help other writers get their stories published. When not working or writing, Pegg can be found on her farm in Northern Lower Michigan with her husband, her assortment of animals and her spinning wheel. Tune in to hear Pegg discuss her writing journey, her experiences with novella collections as both participant and curator, and how her Great Lakes Lighthouse Bride story was inspired by her love of lighthouses.
