In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Cynthia Enuton discusses her Fur Angel series for children. Cynthia has a degree in psychology and worked for over a decade at a state facility in Maryland where she counseled emotionally challenged teens. She used to bring her dog, a little Pekingese named Lindsey, to work with her as an unofficial therapy dog. The kids responded so well to the dog that she referred to Lindsey as a little angel in a fur coat. When she added another puppy to her family, the story ideas began to flow, and Cynthia wrote the first book in her series, Angel in a Fur Coat. With her dogs serving as inspiration, Cynthia continues to write stories about angels born on earth as dogs and their mission to find the person they were made for. Tune in to hear Cynthia discuss her writing journey, her canine inspirations and how real life influences her stories.
