In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author Karin Beery discusses her latest book, Practically Married, a contemporary fiction story with a healthy dose of clean romance. Karin began writing her first book over a decade ago as a way to cope with her husband’s cancer diagnosis. Happily, her husband is cancer free, and Karin is now a published author. She is a life-long lover of fiction, a freelance book editor and an acquisitions editor for a small publishing house. Along with writing her own stories, Karin works hard to help other authors develop the tools they need to write their best work. In this episode, I’ll chat with Karin about her writing journey, her use of rural Michigan as a setting for her stories and how her love of the editing process influences her own writing.
