In this week’s episode of The Bookshop at the End of the Internet, author J.A. Andrews discusses her epic fantasy trilogy, The Keeper Chronicles. Her career as an author began even before she realized it. While her husband was on a long business trip, Janice began writing short chapters of a fantasy story and emailing them to him to keep him entertained while on the road. Fifteen years later, those emailed bits of story became the first ten chapters of her published epic series filled with wizards, elves, dwarves, goblins, dragons and, of course, magic. Tune in to hear Janice discuss her writing journey, the challenge of telling her stories from the perspective of the different characters, and how she has managed to create such a rich and vibrant world without actually visually imagining it as she writes.
